Litter Gig is a startup company striving to revolutionize the litter pickup industry by providing a methodology for governments and landowners to easily hire people to pick up and dispose of their litter and verify is done properly through a simple to use application (app) on their phone. Litter Gig is currently working with the app development company Zco to develop their application, has produced a proof of concept and is looking for talented personnel and funders to help us modernize the litter pick up industry so that we can restore our environment and meet the needs of our community.
Litter Gig will manage connecting landowners with gig workers, track how much litter is picked up during each work session, ensure litter is properly disposed of and handle payment of gig workers for each piece of litter that has been collected and disposed of. This will all be done through the use of an app downloaded by the gig worker’s cell phone that uses artificial intelligence to track litter pickup and proper disposal. Since everything from tracking work and billing will be handled by the app, gig workers will have the ability to choose the hours of work they wish, the location, and the times providing enhance convenience. In addition property owners will enjoy consistent cleanup at very discounted rates and will be able to conveniently schedule when their property can be available for cleanup services.

Each time a work session is processed and the litter is verified to be properly disposed of, user’s profiles will get updated with new statistics of how much litter they collected and how quickly they collected it. Users will have a running total of all the litter they collected over time and can connect with other users so that they can track each other's stats. Litter Gig will have leaderboards which keep track of the top performers and will provide prizes / rewords to them. When the app development is complete, users will also enjoy Litter Gig Social which is a social media platform built into the app that allows users to be able to share their statistics with one another, pursue incentives and achievements, schedule group pickup sessions and keep their friends and family apprised of their success.

We are working towards developing funds to support Litter Gig’s startup and further development of the app. To complete this effort we are working on raising $250,000 to get the applications and websites up and running.
Litter Gig is currently working with an app developer to make our dreams become a reality! We have developed a proof of concept that demonstrates how AI can count and assign volumes to litter that has been picked up and are moving forward with developing the app!
Once the app is developed. Litter Gig will complete a marketing campaign to bring awareness to others about its usefulness in restoring the land and communities we love.
